Meghan told a fan convention that one of her standout moments so far on US TV legal drama Suits was a frolic in the file room with handsome co-star Patrick Adams.
But, after dodging questions about her royal romance, she insisted: “Of course, that seems weird now.”
And Adams chipped in: “Of course that’s weird.”
He added: “Work can feel like work and it felt like play the whole time. We were having a great time.”
The stars were joined by other cast members at a TV festival in Austin, Texas, where they celebrated the show’s 100th episode in front of an audience.
LA-born Meghan, 35, refused to comment on US reports she was preparing for a set visit by Harry, 32, so she could introduce him to friends and workmates with whom she has barely socialised since they began dating last year.
One member of the Suits production team revealed: “She was really upset about having to skip Patrick’s wedding in December because she felt her presence would be too much of a media distraction on his big day.
“She’s also been neglecting other on-set colleagues, so she’s hoping to make amends by introducing them to Harry during an unofficial visit where everyone can relax and he can get to know her friends.”
Her Baywatch star friend Priyanka Chopra said in a recent interview that Meghan was “more than just” Harry’s girlfriend.
Asked if she thought she would get an invite to their wedding, she said: “I hope so.”
Suits returns next month in the US for a 16-episode seventh season, which could be Meghan’s last if she becomes engaged to Harry.
TV bosses would not comment on what happens to Meghan’s character, Rachel Zane, in the new series of Suits but an executive said: “I can promise there will be some smouldering scenes.”
